Do you think it is possible for me to get a job at Google Inc.?

January 5, 2011 – 1:00 am

I got my B.S. in computer science a year ago, and since then I am preparing myself to take GMAT. Meanwhile, I have done some web developing projects, learned some programming language such as JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, and SQL. I am thinking to apply for a position at Google. As you may know, Google receives approximately 1300 resume per day. Therefore, I am thinking to write an unusual cover letter (something different than others) to get at least a phone call from them. Do you think that is a good idea? Believe me, you do not have to be an expert of the field that you are applying at Google. For example: Salar Kamangar is a VP, Product Management and he has B.S. in Biological Sciences from Stanford University:

I know it is a top university, but he did not have IT or business background when he got hired:
So, do you know anyone that get a job at Google? What is your advice to me? Please let me know. Thanks!

  9. Look like a solid Google candidate

But you are definitely overqualified for working for Yahoo.
