How can i show programs in my desktop in ubuntu?

How can i show programs in my desktop in ubuntu?
I recently installed a program for music in ubuntu, I can’t find where it went! I can run it from terminal but i want it on my desktop so i can just open it from there? is not in sound and video. Thanks

  2. did you look in all the sections of the apps folder? if you downloaded the program from the software repos if should go there. if you compiled it yourself, it may be sitting in your /home.
    when all else fails to a file search for it.
    places–>search for files

  3. i had ubuntu a while back so im not sure but maybe you can just make shortcut like windows you know right click then like send to desktop ?? idk hope it helps
