With a Linux based OS you will just install the Fedora and it will identify you already have an Windows OS installed and ask you what to do. Generally you will say to leave this OS in tack and to downsize the partition and I would take it down to like 50% and split the HD in half. Then it will install on the newly re-sized partition and take care of the boot sector giving you the ability to dual boot to the flavor of your choice! http://www.crossloop.com/MichaelPorterfield

When you install Fedora, GRUB will automatically see Windows and add it to the list, so when you boot up it will have both Windows and Fedora.
Just make sure to not delete your Windows Partition when installing Fedora

You must 2 partitions on your hard disk one for win & other for fedora.
