I installed the Apache HTTP server from httpd.apache.org , now what?

  3. Now you can host your own website. Adjust the setting in the httpd.conf and off you go. If you want a domain name, you can buy one from yahoo (or somebody else) and point it to your IP. Or, you can just use your IP to get to your server (if that’s what you want)
